
- Lloyd Eddie Lasker Jr. is pastor of the House of Refuge and Deliverance in Mayflower, a tiny town of less than 2,000 people near Little Rock
- The pastor was arrested and charged with several drug offenses on Sept. 22
- Police said they responded to a wellness check at the church on Sept. 18 and found Lasker, a dangerously thin and bruised toddler and the child’s mother
- The child was taken to hospital and remains in ICU
- The toddler’s mom told cops her child was ‘possessed by demons’
- Four days later Lasker was arrested after a search of his truck uncovered meth
- He confessed to taking meth with members of his congregation on ‘several’ occasions and to having a gun at his home
- He also admitted to trying to exorcise a ‘demon’ from the toddler
- Police later found a baggy of a substance suspected to be meth at the church
- Lasker made his first court appearance on September 23 where he was given a $7,500 bond. He is next scheduled to appear in court on October 13
