Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead II is one of the greatest and most influential horror films of all-time. It ultimately became the blueprint for how to successfully mix horror and comedy. Evil Dead II also served as a vital source of inspiration for such filmmakers as Peter Jackson and Edgar Wright.

The “splatstick” style that Raimi invented in Evil Dead II became a new cinematic language.
