FAA opens investigation into mystery drones flying in ‘square grid patterns’ over Colorado and Nebraska

• The FAA is investigating a slew of mysterious drone sightings in Colorado and Nebraska 
• The cluster of drones has been seen in at least four counties in Colorado
• No private companies nor government agencies have claimed the drones 
• Officials said last week they tracked over 16 drones between the two counties flying in square grid patterns and appearing nearly every night 
• On Tuesday that number soared to 30 drones seen flying at a time 
• ‘We believe that the drones, though startling, are not malicious in nature,’ The Phillips County, Colorado Sheriff’s Office said
